Yeager EXTRAM AS-9 by Hoborginc Yeager EXTRAM AS-9 by Hoborginc
A particle rifle running on a battery and a gas canister. It's a black box technology!

For our purposes, it's effectively a black box technology.

I like the printing on the top part of the gun, Dangar. because sometimes danger just isn't enough. :icondignitylaugh:

A fantastic design. Certainly one of my favorite among the designs I've seen not only DA, but elsewhere.

Simple, but elegant and realistic while at the same time being distinct enough to stand out.

Which runs out faster, gas or power?
Would a carbine version of this weapon use "mags" that are integrated gas reservoirs and power packs?

Power runs out faster, and the rate at which it runs out depends on the settings on which the weapon is fired. It can last for days of continuous use on marker setting, or several seconds on full power. You can connect it to a backpack battery instead.

The gas canister can last several months in the field. Therefore, there isn't a need to integrate it with the battery. Its replacement is a logistical concern rather than a tactical one.

Looks pretty neat, nice color work and details! :)

One thing though, isn't a bit too obvious to print "danger" plus the arrows indicating the barrel end on a gun?

The gas you use would be plasma and the batteries would charge the plasma, creating charged particles that, on impact, mini explosions, heating up the area. Devastating against armored and unarmored targets.

There, thats how it works.

Those are neat, but not the same line quality as there is here and in most pen work.
